Guide to creating amazing beach waves

There is nothing more amazing than the feeling of having a great hair day. Speaking of that, get beach-to-bombshell hair creating beach waves, a low maintenance style that is flattering for everyone. Beach waves look indeed effortless but there is a certain technique to get the right wave and to make the hairdo last throughout the day.
A lot of the focus needs to go into prepping the hair.  After washing, once your hair is almost dry, section and apply the heat-protective spray. If your hair is curly or wavy, just like mine, you need to do a little blow-drying first to get the hair almost straight (if you already have smooth hair, after heat protection gets to creating beach waves straight away!)

My go-to spray for heat protection is the Wella Professionals EIMI Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray.

Now your hair is ready for heat, you have the green light to create the perfect waves. There are 2 amazing pro tools to create the beach goddess hairstyle: a straightener or a curling iron, whichever you find easier to use.

Beach waves with a straightener
Section your hair with clips first and work 2-inch hair sections at a time.
Depending on your hair type, set the right temperature (the thicker the hair, the higher the temperature) and flip your hair straightener away from your face, then glide all the way down the hair strand, leaving the ends straight. The hair strand needs to be twisted while you’re doing the waves.

Another important thing to mention is the direction of waves, especially the ones at the front, they should be styled away from the face to perfectly frame your face. Leave the endings of your hair straight. When you are done, let the hair strands cool down separately.
