Lavish beauty rituals in each room
It is safe to say that since the lockdown, I have spent a lot of time indoors, so I know my house by heart. Since my beauty stash had a lot to offer and my morale needed a boost, I did pamper myself with amazing products, and you are all invited to find out everything about them below.
It has been a sad and confusing time for everyone and I miss being a working make-up artist on set and making my models shine. I miss human touch and hope I can go back to work asap.
While at home, I used each room as a refuge where I either slept in, ate in, bathed in, worked in, dreamed of my future post Covid19 life in.
The reason for starting writing this article is because I noticed myself using each room differently, being inspired to enjoy beauty and wellness rituals that before, due to my hectic lifestyle and lack of time, were not an option.
You will find a list with amazingly lavish products I am addicted to but to jazz things up, apart from my usual go-to products, I added one imaginary lavish beauty product per room, allowing you to guess which one that is.
I will start this indoor virtual tour with my bathroom aka my private sanctuary where I pamper my face in the morning, adding up all those fab serums, masks, and moisturizers. I have skipped make-up since I do not have any Zoom calls today! Yay, my skin will be able to stay au naturel
Since I needed my skin to be fresh and glowy, my attention went to products with ingredients like collagen, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C.
I indulge daily and apply Ole Henriksen Truth Serum first, it goes into the deep layers of the skin and feels so hydrating! I then top it up with Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème.Price: £42 Price: £36

The sense of smell is more powerful than we think it immediately connects with our brain so I make sure I start the day right using a citrusy, cheerful, and juicy scent Jo from Jo Loves. It does make me think of lazy summer days, that is so lush! Wearing the right fragrance makes my day every day and I just find it so uplifting – let’s call fragrance my happy place, shall we?

Now on to face masks: one of my all-time faves, the Rodial Mask Vit C Energising Sheet Mask to get my dose of freshness and luminosity, treat my fine lines and create that even skin tone I long for.
Lately, I have been alternating it with a new find, the Lumity Nutrient Rich Skin Saviour that I also love! It became one of my BFF products since it is a botanical balm, created specifically to deep cleanse and exfoliate my skin. Did I mention it smells like a luxurious spa from a lush Maldives resort?

Once I am all set for the day, I go and start my daily activities in the living room aka my workspace for the past 2 months. By the coffee table you will always find a scented candle, the Baies Scented Candle by Diptique, it fills up the room with a beautiful and fresh scent, adding a magical feel to my space.
The first thing I do is light up the candle and set the mood for a 15 mins meditation session. The sunlit window beside me allows just the right amount of light in so that I feel that divine connection to the universe and feel blessed for the day.

Ok, meditation is done, next on my to-do list is using my laptop for the next 4 hours: emailing, social media, marketing, you know the drill. On my work desk, I religiously keep a hand sanitizer and a hand cream, just in case I need them to keep myself clean. The fact that I do have the unhealthy habit of touching my face very often and sanitizing my hands will help keep my skin clear from acne and protect me from extra bacteria and/or viruses.
One of my most trusted items is Neal’s Yard Organic Defence hand spray sanitizer that kills 99.9% of bacteria. Bonus: the lemongrass scent is amazing and the natural formula leaves my hands feeling clean, with no sticky residue. Perfect to keep super close at all times.
On to hand creams: Lush Helping Hands – a small amount goes a long way and my hands feel so soft. I fell in love with the organic cocoa butter and hydrating honey they use as the main ingredients. I am a big fan of the brand since Lush focuses a lot on giving back to communities around the world.

In the afternoon I take my half-day break: bedroom, here I come! I definitely need a change of scenery and a lie-in.
The bedroom has, of course, its perks. A comfy, welcoming bed is all I need to reset my batteries for the second part of the day. I do love a power nap, do you?
Once I wake up all refreshed, I decide it is time to go back to and finish off my assignments. Just before leaving my bedroom, I spray my face with Omorovicza Queen of Hungary mist to give my skin a boost of hydration and to reactivate my brain (I will always be a fan of aromatherapy!)

I then apply By Terry Baume de Rose, an amazing lip balm because I want to preserve the plumpness of my lips for as long as I can (because yes, I am not 18 anymore!)

Time does fly and I notice the golden hour and now know it’s time to wrap up work. I jump in the bathroom again since it’s time for my take-the-day-off shower. I grab my first choice brand to look after my body: Aesop, of course.
Head to toe moisturizing is a must since I am in an ongoing battle with skin dryness and only use lavish products to treat it. I tried lots of ranges over time but I keep coming back to Aesop for their outstanding quality and smell: Aesop A Rose By Any Other Name Body Cleanser and Aesop Rejuvenate Aromatique Body Balm.

As my finishing touch, I look after my face and neck and prep them for my 8 hours sleep. I lather on a bit of Charlotte Tilbury Night Cream, only a pea-size amount is enough to use overnight and wake up to my best skin ever.

All the products above are great to have and I highly recommend trying them. The only downside is that they are just sooo addictive!
